Find events faster with improved events search

Find events easier than ever in our web application

We're excited to announce a series of improvements to the search functionality within our web application! Search is one of the most popular features. Based on feedback and user testing, we identified areas where the search could be smoother and more intuitive. This update addresses key issues to make searching for events in PredictHQ a breeze!

What's new?

  • Simplified filter layout: We've streamlined the filter options by showing fewer filters by default. This reduces clutter and makes the search interface less overwhelming. You can still access additional options by clicking "More Filters".

  • Instant filter application: Gone are the days of needing to click a separate search button after applying filters. Filters are now applied immediately upon selection or when you click "Apply" within a control.

  • Search by address: PredictHQ now supports searching by street address! Simply enter the address, and we'll use a suggested radius to find events happening nearby. Behind the scenes, your address is automatically converted to latitude , longitude and radius for accurate location-based searches.

  • Remembered search filters: So, if you set your categories, date range, location, or any other filter this is remembered until you change it. Even if you log off and log back on we'll remember what you last searched on. This is remembered per device so if you use another device it won't have your remembered filters from the first device.

  • Date range is filtered by your subscription limits: Typically, you will have access to a certain date range in your subscription. Some customers have historic data and some customers only have future-facing data. By default, the date range filter will be filtered to reflect what you have access to. You can then further narrow down the date range if you want to look for events in a specific time period.

Here’s how the search feature looks when you first open it, with additional features collapsed:

These search improvements are a big step forward, but we're always looking for ways to make PredictHQ even better. We'd love to hear your feedback on the new search features! If you have any questions, or suggestions, or run into any issues, please don't hesitate to let us know.
