Sports events are major demand drivers
Games, tournaments and more – sports bring a lot of people to specific locations to watch. PredictHQ has tailored models for each sport.
Sports Impact Business
Billions are lost by those who can’t predict demand shifts from sports.
We aggregate, clean and enrich sports data from many sources to ensure your business has visibility into 80 different sports types that are both in-person and televised.
Top sports events happening in the next 90 days
There are often hundreds, if not thousands of sports events that happen every month. In order to best prepare, you need to have insight into the impactful events coming up. These are a sample of the top sports events happening in the next three months that may have an impact on your business.
Get up and running quickly with our sports data
We’ve created a Jupyter notebook on how to integrate scheduled, attendance-based data such as sports into your models to help your Data Science teams get up and running quickly. It includes guides to using our API and data with common Data Science tools and libraries in Python.

We capture 80+ different types of sports
Sports events vary in size, impact, location, frequency, duration and popularity. And different types of sports impact businesses in different ways. Once our machine learning models sort events into categories, highly specialized NLP models for each category kick in to add labels to every event so you can build hyper-targeted models. PredictHQ has 80+ different types of labels across both the United States and Europe to ensure you are incorporating the most relevant events to your demand.

Better understand impact through reliable attendee count
PredictHQ models identify a specific predicted attendance for each sports event. This is important because relying on venue capacity to predict demand often leads to over forecasting. For example a Premier League Manchester United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers game had a predicted attendance of 73,363 in the Old Trafford Football Stadium, which is a venue that can hold up to 74,879 fans. This example is a small difference but you can imagine the impact when a venue is only 75% full or less than half full.

Sports venue location is key to track
The closer your business is to a venue, the higher the likelihood of impact. If you’re a transportation company, the drivers who are closer to a baseball stadium when the game ends can pick passengers up first. Or you run a food retail chain with a store two blocks from the stadium and another store six blocks away. The store closer to the stadium will likely need more staff and stock on game days.
Identify trends through aggregation
PredictHQ’s Aggregate Event Impact identifies the peak days by aggregating predicted attendance for each sports event. Understand the impact of sports games in context with other demand-driving events for a given location. This enables you to prepare for surges or dips in demand more accurately.
Televised sports games drive major traffic
Not only does PredictHQ track 80+ different types of sports in physical locations, we also track live televised sporting events to help customers better predict surges in demand, especially for those who provide on-demand delivery and retailers. Understand predicted viewership to prepare better with our data, which is only source for historical and predicted televised sports games at the county level.
Sports impact customers differently
Data teams rely on high quality sports event data to understand market conditions across all industries. Demand intelligence is designed to seamlessly plug into current forecasting models and improve the output.
Explore our other event categories
Sports are included in our attendance-based, scheduled events. We have 18 other categories that are both unscheduled and scheduled events that you can explore to see what else might impact your demand.
You can’t prepare for what you don’t see coming
Harness the power of demand intelligence
Knowing the impact of demand causal factors like events will transform your business. The American Society of Hematology has a $45M estimated economic impact — and that's only one event in one city.
