Academic Events are major demand drivers
PredictHQ tracks the key dates of every US college with more than 5,000 students. Think graduations, exam time and spring break. There is no other way to track the chaotic movement of students as all universities have their own schedules.
Academic Events impact your bottom line
Between football tailgates and final exams, students are big drivers of local economies.
Students rely on ride shares to get around, coffee chains to caffeinate between classes, and hoteliers to host their families during Graduation. PredictHQ is the only source for this data, which we aggregate, clean, and enrich academic events data so your business has visibility into the various events that impact student behavior.
Top academic events happening in the next 90 days
There are often hundreds of academic events that happen every month. In order to best prepare, you need to have insight into the impactful ones coming up. These are a sample of the top academic events happening in the next three months that may have an impact on your business.
Get up and running quickly with our Academic Event data
We’ve created a Jupyter notebook about how to integrate academic events into your models to help your Data Science teams get up and running quickly. It includes guides to using our API and data with common Data Science tools and libraries in Python.

We capture six types of academic events
PredictHQ aggregates and verifies academic events for 963 institutions across 50 states, with plans to expand coverage across Europe. We are currently the only provider of academic event data, which enables businesses to factor in student demand to forecasting models. Once our machine learning models sort events into categories, highly specialized NLP models for each category kick in to add labels to every event so you can build hyper-targeted models. PredictHQ tracks six types of academic events and hundreds of labels within those types to ensure you are incorporating the most impactful and relevant events.

Track what events are happening per college
Tracking academic events is specific to each institution. With our single source of truth, you’ll save time manually searching university websites and calendars with our verified data. We know from our customers that it takes 15 minutes to manually source, verify, and store each event. Multiply that across all US universities with many events each, and you have quite an undertaking.
Prioritize institutions that matter most to your business
PredictHQ models identify predicted student attendance at each school. This is critical demand intelligence to gauge each college's impact on your demand, enabling you to prioritize the institutions that matter most to your business.
Track student movement in a chaotic environment
Tracking and verifying event data is always complex. During the COVID and recovery era these challenges intensified. To simplify the range of college policies regarding attendance, we have sorted undergraduate full time student classes into three labels to categorize the education mode: online sessions, hybrid-sessions and in-person-sessions. This enabled us to arrive at predicted on-campus student attendance at each school.

Academic events impact customers differently
Data teams rely on high quality academic event data to understand market conditions across all industries. Demand intelligence is designed to seamlessly plug into current forecasting models and improve the output.
Explore our other event categories
Academic Events are included in our non-attendance-based, scheduled events. We have 18 other categories that are both unscheduled and scheduled events that you can explore to see what else might impact your demand.
You can’t prepare for what you don’t see coming
Harness the power of demand intelligence
Knowing the impact of demand causal factors like events will transform your business. The American Society of Hematology has a $45M estimated economic impact — and that's only one event in one city.
