Understand event impact on a location with Local Rank™
An event of 5,000 people might not cause a stir in New York or London, but in a smaller town, companies would need to prepare. Use Local Rank ™ to identify each event’s impact on a local level to equip your team to make better decisions.
How it works
Local Rank gives you deeper insight
Local Rank™ is a logarithmically scaled numerical value between 0 and 100 to communicate its predicted impact. These numbers fall within a five-level hierarchical impact schema.
0-20 | Minor |
21-40 | Moderate |
41-60 | Important |
61-80 | Significant |
81-100 | Major |
How to use Local Rank
A scalable solution for forecasting and machine learning models
Every event in our API has a Local Rank™. Use it with features such as our Temporal Relevance parameters to identify events in a particular time frame, and Radial Search to identify the highest potential events near your stores, hubs or hotspots.

PredictHQ’s ranks explained
PredictHQ has created three proprietary ranks (so far) to provide deeper insight on an event. A single event can have three different rankings.
Our data pipeline
Target locally at scale with Local Rank™
Event ranking enables our customers to identify the most relevant and impactful events for their business at scale and prepare. Local Rank™ is an essential feature to discover and prioritise high-impact events that may have otherwise slipped under the radar.
You can’t prepare for what you don’t see coming
Harness the power of demand intelligence
Knowing the impact of demand causal factors like events will transform your business. The American Society of Hematology has a $45M estimated economic impact — and that's only one event in one city.
